    Diana,

The section on Anne gives insight into her real personality. Nice interview.

I noticed she appeared in a repeat of the Sweeny on Granada Plus the other
night as the wife of Mr Haskins (Regan's boss).

Yet another role as the long suffering wife!

    Bill.

Series 1 and 2 are available commercially on vhs or
dvd, do a search in Google or look at Amazon and similar.

There is 1 episode missing from each
    however.

    Hello!
I know there are 91 episodes, but unfortunately I've seen only the
    seasons 3, 4 & 5. I've missed the first episodes :(( !

It's spam. I tried to contact the list owner a couple of times to get the
group settings alterd and the links section cleaned up but he seems to have
    dissapeared.

So come on Deryck Yahoo shiponedinline list owner, aka

    Where

I am interested in the fan meeting idea.

I think that Jessica will maybe not be involved, she dropped out of the
    public eye deliberately.

After the Onedin line (I know she appeared in a stage production at
Salisbury IIRC and found it too stressful, you can read about it in the
files section) I believe she had enough of the limelight.

Some years ago I found her address in Dorset using 192.com. I wrote asking
about some aspects of the series, I never received a reply. The 'phone
number was there as well but I figured it would be invading her privacy if I
used it. So I did not.

I believe that we should respect her privacy if that is what she wants,
although obviously I to would like to meet here some day. We should as a
group be responsible and think how we might feel if the rolls were reversed
    so to speak.

    Bill.

Read somewhere that she was born in 1948, same year as me. Can't remember
the source of that information now though.

Makes her 55-56. And that is where all similarity ends!

I'll put some captured images of her from the series in the files section
    when I think about it.

We should not forget what a fine actress she was in the series and a very
    big star at the time.

Jessica and I are about the same age, one thing I do know is she will now
look a lot better than I do!

Glad you had a good weekend there Carie, yes the NEC is a very large
    venue.
I worked on one phase of the construction in the '70s and I have only
    ever
been back there once for a motorshow some years ago.

I must take the opportunity to go back and have a look around one
    week-end.
I bet it is much bigger now!

I am in the Isle of Man for a couple of weeks, we sailed from
    Liverpool
yesterday on the Super Sea Cat car ferry which took just about 2 hrs
    to do
the crossing to Douglas, somewhat quicker than it would be in Onedin
    days!

That brought a question to mind as we left the dock right next to the
    Liver
building, although we all know that Liverpool was the port around
    which the
story was told, were any location scenes actually shot there?

Pretty well everything was filmed down around the Dartmouth area but
    I just
wondered if anyone knew of an actual Liverpool location used in the
    series?

    Bill.

Nice start to what I'm sure will become a much bigger site!

I'll soon be doing an Onedin links page from my car site,

    http://www.sound-research.co.uk/

Yours will be included on it.

    Good work 🙂
