hoepuflly going to have a reconciliation…and i was pleaseed that J had a son at last, (but pletny of scoepe
for conflict in later years – son wanting to become an actor instead
of a shipowner, or wnating to build #steamships!!) and I liked Margar
ita –I know that Daniel died, was it in a shipping disaster?

I
enjoyed teh series on Public Broadcasting (Channel 10)
in Wisconsin. Though I may have only seen part of the
series in the late 70s. My final chapter was where
one sees Mrs. Onedin breastfeeding someone's child
(I wasn't supposed to see that on US TV). I am going
to check to see if this great series is on VHS or DVD
at Barnes & Noble Booksellers.
As far as it being well received I would think that
it would be as well achieved as another BBC production
"Doctor Who". It is sometimes unfortunate, and very
confusing at times, when actors/actresses are
replaced.
As far as where Mr. Abraham got the name 'Onedin' it
may have some historical connotations. But I know
others on this forum might know the real answers.Ron

Diana,Thank you sooo much for the information.Yes, my two DVDs are BFS produced. Bottom line seems to be that "The
Homecoming" is as far as my 4 DVD disks go. "The Homecoming" is the title
of the last set of chapters. BFS made this confusing by chopping up the eight 60
minute episodes into 48 chapters(four CDs with 12 chapters on each). However,
there are a total of eight main story headings on the four CDs.there are 92 episodes, and I only have 8. What a tragedy.Again, thank you for your concern.RonOn Tue, 11 Jan 2005 08:59:46 -0000 "Diana" <moonroll@ntlworld.com> writes:style="PADDING-LEFT:10px;MARGIN-LEFT:10px;BORDER-LEFT:#000000 2px solid;">
Hi Ron,Assuming the DVDs you purchased recently are those
produced by BFS
Entertainment, they only contain the first eight episodes
from series
one.The complete eight series have never been released
on video or DVD
unfortunately. The first two series are available
in England, though cuts have been
made to these.In addition,
series three has recently been released on DVD in the
Netherlands. We can only hope that the Dutch company will release
further series
in the future.A complete (and accurate) list of
Onedin Line episodes can be found
in the Files section of this
group.Hope this helps.
DianaivaradiKeymasterHi Ron,
It can get confusing with any series. You might
consider checking with Barnes & Noble Bookstores.
They may have access to the complete series in various
sets.
Yes I remember the series from the 70s as well and
thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope to get it soon.

http://promotions.yahoo.com/new_mailivaradiKeymasterI haven't seen "Frisco Bound" for over a quarter
century, but I remember that was the first episode of
that show that I watched. If I am not mistaken, during
one scene, when the riggers were on one of the top
sailing frames (from where the sails hang) while it
was windy, the music that was being played was from
the 3rd movement of Shostakovich's Symphony #5.

When I see that he's time enough to

And I believe, Jessica would accept an

the Onedin Line is history for a long time.Other proposal: We could make a common
