onedinlinieMemberHi Bill,
'Cry of the blackbird' was also released on the the first German DVD Set.
All 15 episodes are available in English too.
In 3/2008 comes the next season on DVD, we hope that the missing
episodes are included.Regards
MathiasonedinlinieMemberI like all sailing vessels. My fovourite Onedin Ship is the DANMARK.onedinlinieMemberHi venatrix, the CHARLOTTE RHODES was complete destroyed by fire in Amsterdam 1979.
Police says, it was an act of sabotage.
The following vessels was also used for filming on deck: WINSTON
CHURCHILL, MARQUES, CHRISTIAN RADICH, SOEREN LARSEN, ESTHER LOHSE.
Could be more ships, I don't know.
The DANMARK and a lot of other tall ships are visible in the OL, but
only in sailing scenes, no filming on deck.
It's quaint to see the Danish flag at a Onedin Ship :-))) I think, the
szenes with DANMARK was filmed early. Or could be, the captain had
refused to set the UK flag. :-))) The danes got big sense of
nationality…Best regards
MathiasonedinlinieMemberHi Marianne,Very nice!!! Good news for all fans of Anne and Peter. Thanks for your
work.Best regards
MathiasonedinlinieMemberYes, of course. But it was a bad sign, if rats came out from the bilge.
At least for superstitious sailors…onedinlinieMember'Elisabeth' and 'Albert' are well known and useable in Germany too,
but this names was a little vintage and out in the 70's.
'Isabel' and 'Elmer' sounds more modern and it's possible, this was the
cause of renaming. Could be, the renaming was an idea of the synchron
studio team. By the way, the German voices of the Onedin characters
are very well known and popular actors and synchron speakers. James'
voice is Christian Brückner, the standard voice of Robert deNiro and
Elmer's voice is the same like Tom Selleck's in 'Magnum'.Mathias

MathiasonedinlinieMemberOh yes, I love Jessica too. She's a great, charismatic
actress and a very, very beautiful woman…;-)
It's very sad and pity, that we've Jessica never seen
again in tv or film.
Here is a nice pic with Jessica and Peter:http://onedinlinie.de/pics/episoden/jp2.jpg

onedinlinieMemberHi all,Where? A good alternative: In the middle between England and Germany:
Holland. Another Question is: When? A tall ship event in the summer
of 2005 could be. It was a great experience for all fans. If enough
fans like to come we could rent a vessel like "Christian Radich" (was
used in the Onedin Line) for one or two days. I think we can find
some sponsors for such intention when we make publicity 😉Perhaps we could try to contact Jessica at the homepage of her
husband Charlie Waite:
http://www.charliewaite.com/contact.htmRegards
MathiasonedinlinieMemberYes, we should realize an Onedin fan event next year. I think, Mike
Billington at least would like to come.
When I see that he's time enough to correspond with his fans on
his
notice board, I will believe that.
And I believe, Jessica would accept an invitation too. Anne &
Peter…I don't know. They are already a little bit older and
perhaps
the Onedin Line is history for a long time.Other proposal: We could make a common international Onedin Line
Fanpage in English, Dutch, German and pehaps in more languages. The
first step is done. Of course, I know, we all have not so much spare
time. Anyhow this another great wish of me 😉Regards
MathiasonedinlinieMemberI think too, she's younger. The source of the information of her birth
year 1942 is here: http://imdb.com/name/nm0072935/
This may be false.Regards
MathiasonedinlinieMemberInteresting question. I know only her year of birth 1942.Regards
MathiasonedinlinieMemberhi marianne, perhaps you could upload the CD as mp3 files. This could be a good
option for all and save you from the job to copy the CD.many regards
