    Hi Dino

It was wonderful to see an email from an Onedin Line fan after all this time. I went straight to Google to listen to the music again and discovered, to my delight, several episodes. So I watched one. β€œSalvage”, which included Michael Billington in the cast. I think l’ve just planned my weekend. LOL

Best wishes to one and all

    Jean

    Greetings, All 'Onedin Line' Fans,

I know this Group has been quiet for a long time, but I was wondering if Linda Huthmaker is still connected. I just tried to send an e-mail and it was kicked back.

So, Linda, if you're still out there, and you receive this, please e-mail me. I've been out of action for a long time, but I'm starting to get back on my feet again (so to speak).

Also, it would be nice to see some discussions of 'The Onedin Line' start up again. I miss those.

    All the best,

    Dino.

    Hi Viv,

Sorry, my last email sent itself before I was finished. Not very helpful
    under the circumstances.

As I was saying, I would be honoured to write Mr Gilmore's biography. I am
an author published in fiction and have studied ghostwriting. If Mr Gilmore
would be interested, I am available for discussion.

    Sincerely,

    Jean Drew

    Hi Elaine,

I realise that writing for TV is different from writing novels but the
    creation is a starting point.

    Hello,

I don't post much but this really got my creative juices flowing. I've had
some experience as a writer, (3 novels published and 3 more contracted). Is
there any reason why some of us couldn't put something together between us?

    Just a thought.

    Good morning,

There's a street in Auckland called Onedin Place. I'll try to find out where
it comes from. I can't believe anyone would name a street after a TV
    character.
    Or maybe they would. πŸ™‚

Hello everyone and greetings from New Zealand

I have only recently joined The Onedin Line group. I had no idea that an
email loop existed until I was surfing one day and presto.

I have always been a fan of TOL since the very first episode aired way back
when. I'm pleased to see it is still alive and well, and that some of the
series are coming out on DVD but I doubt we'll get them in New Zealand. I'll
be asking my brother to send them from England.

The Soren Larsen now sails in and around Auckland, but I expect you already
know that, and I often see her when I go down to the wharf.

    Best wishes to all.

    Jean Drew
