series 5 to 8

Hello everybody,

With the darker evening approaching (well in the northern hemisphere anyway) a few of us will probably be dusting off the videos/DVDs of our beloved Onedin Line to while away some nights when there is nothing worth watching on the TV, yes this happens even with over 100 cable channels to watch……

As most here will know series 1, 2, 3, and 4 are available on region 2 DVDs, 3 and 4 were the Memphis Bell releases. With that in mind I've emailed them (info@memphisbelle.nl ) and asked if they plan to release any more of the series.

I'll see if they have anything good to say about this, and let you know.

Also has anyone contacted UK TV (Drama) again recently about the possibility of the later series being rerun? There is some stuff about the series here an
although no mention of any transmissions.

Further to my last message I received a reply which is reproduced at the
bottom of this message.

Since they don't seem to have ruled out more releases, can I suggest as many
of you as possible spend a few minutes to mail Memphis Belle and ask about
future releases? If it appears that there is some interest in this it may
just be enough to get another series released.
