I've been scouring several sites (Rapidshares, Megaupload, http://www.bergfiles.com) looking for TOL episodes and I've managed to find download links to AVI files for all of TOL episodes, especially by searching "The Onedin Line" on bergfiles; that is, except for three episodes. The one's I've downloaded so far play great on my computer (though at 350MB-550MB per episode, they're filling up what's left of my hard drive so I plan to put them on an external drive, and eventually transfer them to DVD-Rs).

Anyway, the three episodes that seem to be missing from the bergfiles' extensive AVI lists are:

Series 4, Ep 3 "Not Wanted On Voyage"
Series 4, Ep 8 "Shipwreck"

Series 7, Ep 4 "Dirty Cargo"

A couple of those are listed in bergfiles as RAR files, but my computer has never done well with RARs. It seems to absolutely hate all of the RAR extraction apps.

So does anyone know where I can find these episode files in AVI that I can download? Or does anyone have these as AVIs that they'd be willing to put someplace like Megaupload and send me the links so I could download them?

Since I'm finding it impossible to find TOL, in any complete form, on DVD for Region 1 (even though my DVD player is region free, my TV can't play PAL format), these AVIs are the only way I'm able to view these episodes. So with the above three missing I don't have a complete set, and while most of Series 1 that I've been watching seem to be stand-alone stories, they are part of the whole saga and some occasionally refer to things that have happened in previous episodes. So missing one can leave vital gaps in the whole story line.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Speeds there are a bit slow but if you are patient you get the files.

These are xvid .avi files which play on you PC or through media extenders to
a TV, as far as I know they avoid the PAL / NTSC problems some people have.

I've tried signing up, but for some reason when I click the "Submit" button nothing happens. All of the fields are filled in, but that Submit button just doesn't work. It doesn't even look like it's being clicked when I click it.

OK… I'm starting to beg now. After repeated attempts to register with Rareshares I'm pulling a dead end. This site will not allow me to use the "Sign up" button even though I've completed all the required (and optional) fields.

I've tried downloading the RAR versions of the episodes I'm missing from bergfiles.com, as well as other sites, and just as before my computer hiccups once, burps twice, and then barfs all over the place (metaphorically, of course, but hopefully you get my meaning; my computer absolutely hates anything to do with RARs).

Can anyone help me with locating an AVI version of Series 4 Eps 3 and 8, and Series 7 Ep 4? Why these three episodes aren't included in bergfiles.com's lists of TOL AVIs when they've got the rest of the entire Series is beyond me, and searching the net is only yielding additional frustration (and Rareshares' lack of letting me register isn't helping).

I know these episodes run between 350 and 570MB in AVI format, so e-mailing is out. But if anyone has found links to these three Eps in AVI and would share those links with me, or has them in AVI (or can rip them in AVI from a DVD as I've heard some people can do) and would put them on Megaupload and send me the links, I would be very appreciative.

Before you give up on your .RAR format files you've downloaded, try
using a different program to unpack the .AVI files. Here's a really
good fast, free program that is pretty much all I use anymore for
zipping and unzipping:

Otherwise, if you're hung up on getting .avi files I can't really help
you. If you'd like to just watch them, I can give you .mp4 versions of
these episodes. These are files I created from my series DVDs to watch
on my iPod. (You can also watch them on your regular computer using the
free Apple Quicktime program).
