Are you sure the original English language option isn't available? The listing for the German series 8 on Amazon's German site says "in Deutsch und in der Originalsprache" and "Sprache: Deutsch (Dolby Digital 2.0), Englisch (Dolby Digital 2.0)", which would indicate that you can listen to them in English (probably without German subtitles)…
