I bought the book "The Shipmaster". The does not cover the first set of series, it stopps appr. after the first journey of Anne Onedin. Is this okay? Has anyone of you the books and can tell me, what range they shoulf cover?
Thanks for your help!Kind regards,
Uta

The Iron Ships
and The High SeasYou can all order them on amazon or sometimes on eBay.
Kind regards,
Marianne30th August 2010 at 4:27 pm #1208ivaradiKeymasterThe third series is covered in the book 'The Trade Winds'.
The fourth and fifth series are covered in 'The White Ships'.
Series six to eight were not novelised.
It's worth mentioning that in the books events do not unfold in quite the same way as they do on screen and some are omitted. There are also some characters who do not appear in the novels. I wrote a little piece detailing some of these variations for the Wikipedia article on The Onedin Line if anyone is interested in having a look.Best Wishes
