The third series is covered in the book 'The Trade Winds'.
The fourth and fifth series are covered in 'The White Ships'.
Series six to eight were not novelised.
It's worth mentioning that in the books events do not unfold in quite the same
way as they do on screen and some are omitted. There are also some characters
who do not appear in the novels. I wrote a little piece detailing some of these
variations for the Wikipedia article on The Onedin Line if anyone is interested
