descriptionExcellent!I know some people have difficulty accessing the
group's web site, since this would be text I could easily find space on
my server for a web page with the info. This would then be available from a
simple url (web address).Anyone who is interested send a description to me
and I will organise them into a webpage of all the episodes.I think for the time being at least a very simple
outline of each story is all that is needed, they can always be expanded in
the future. This can be based on Diana's comprehensive
episode list. (If she does not mind). I'll start it off with a couple of
my own accounts and you can see what you think of it.Bill.style="PADDING-RIGHT:0px;PADDING-LEFT:5px;MARGIN-LEFT:5px;BORDER-LEFT:#000000 2px solid;MARGIN-RIGHT:0px;">

good idea to have descriptions

Just search for the correct code on the internet and I'm sure you
will find it within minutes. (e.g. http://www.regionfreedvd.net)Regards,

Benton.Yes, Elizabeth has made mistakes, but I like
her best of all characters and admire her for making a strong statement that
woman can be just as succesful as men (or even more so). Let's face it, the
series need characters like James and Elizabeth. I simply love watching them
together when they are having a fight, but there are moments when you can see
they care for other people, perhaps a bit scared to show it. She will
always be my no.1 character and James a close second.Albert and Emma my least favourite.regards,CarinKoenheinMemberA very happy new year to all of you.regards,Carin KoenheinKoenheinMemberMathias,It must be in series 5 episode "the

plays a part?
Can remember that I've seen the vessel in the Onedin

I do a voyage as trainee at this ship in July/August and I'll make
photos. It's a fine wooden topsail schooner similar the "Charlotte
Rhodes", built 1942 in Denmark. The actual name is "Albatros", the
owner is a German association.Regards

Jessica to take a look at the shiponedingroup site and ask her if she would

MeetingHi all,
Where? A good alternative: In the middle
between England and Germany:
Holland. Another Question is: When? A tall
ship event in the summer
of 2005 could be. It was a great experience for
all fans. If enough
fans like to come we could rent a vessel like
"Christian Radich" (was
used in the Onedin Line) for one or two days. I
think we can find
some sponsors for such intention when we make publicity
😉Perhaps we could try to contact Jessica at the homepage of her
husband Charlie Waite:

MeetingHi shipmates,
An idea struck me to organize an
Onedin fan meeting in Germany or
Holland when I thought about the much
entries in my guestbook.
I think, a large international tall ship event
event like Hansesail
could give a suitable ambiente.
(for
instance at http://hansesail.com/englisch/start.htm,
3.-5. Aug.
2004) Of course, the time is very short by then. But perhaps
next
year?
And if we have luck does anybody of the actors accept an
invitation
to be special guest...
I've put this idea in the news at http://onedinlinie.de and now I'm
waiting
for reply of the German fans. What you all think about this?

AMSubject: [shiponedingroup] Episodes on
cd-r first 3 episodes ready to go?Ok.We need to know who in the UK wants the
episodes. Then figure out who I send out
the discs to firstThat person will copy the disc and send it to the
next, one of those must be willing to send a copy to Europe. (Logically the
last in the chain in the UK).And then of course, who wants copies in Europe?
And again one person will then copy the disc and send it to the next etc.
Perhaps those of you on mainland Europe could arrange that between you?
European listees will have to find the UK
member who is going to make and send their copies and work it out with them.
The two unreleased
episodes from series 1 and 2 (Cry of the Blackbird and Bloody Week) will be
included as a first package of 3 discs along with the first episode of
series 3 (The Ship Devils) as soon as we have this sorted out.I will check, it may be possible to send out 2
episodes (2 discs) at a time in the same packet for the same
postage cost. If so 2 will be sent each time to my recipent, or whatever works
best for me.Just once again let me say, the quality of the
video is adequate when viewed in Windows Media Player in the
default window. The are not intended to look good full screen, and they
will not. You can get the latest player from M$ as a free download from their
site. The VHS recordings were made about 12 to 14
years ago, many on a cheap VCR. This means the picture is not always stable
and there can be "noise" bands at the bottom of the image. There is nothing I
can do about this. But you will be able to follow the story and by the time we
get into series 4 the situation improves as a good VCR was used to
record the rest of the series. So If some one wants to be first in the chain
send me your snail mail address.Hope all this makes some sense.Bill.KoenheinMemberHi Bill,I'm interested. I have all the equipment
needed to make copies, so I would gladly make other copies and send them out to
other members.Regards,Carinstyle="PADDING-RIGHT:0px;PADDING-LEFT:5px;MARGIN-LEFT:5px;BORDER-LEFT:#000000 2px solid;MARGIN-RIGHT:0px;">

AMSubject: [shiponedingroup] Episodes on
cd-r [was] Re: new series on DVDCarie, and all list members,So far I have
captured the following to the pc hard drive with a view to distributing them
to list members.Dirty Cargo from series 7 (Was done as an experiment
to see if people thought the format was acceptable to be able to see the
episodes, from the feedback I have received it would seem they
are.)And
1_12CRY OF
THE BLACKBIRD
2_12BLOODY WEEK
3_1THE SHIP DEVILS Some of you already
have this.
3_2THE STRANGER
3_3ECHOS FROM AFAR.
3_4AMAZON
CARGO.This includes the 2 episodes one from series 1 and one from
series 2 that were not released commercially.
(These have been mailed to
Brenton in NZ so all you people in the Southern Hemisphere should talk to him
if you want a copy). And I am now continuing with the whole
series. So far just one more episode has been
done:
3_5 DANGER LEVEL.
(I have adopted this method of numbering
the episodes: In the above file 3_5 means 3rd series 5th
episode.)Now I come to distribution.
Working closely with
nautnaut and Brenton, the Southern hemisphere and USA / Nth America are taken
care of.What I now want to do is find a list member in the UK / Europe
who would like the rest of the episodes (1 episode on a CD-r) and who would
undertake to make a copy to send on to another list member who will do the
same and so on. Before long everyone would be catered for.I only want
to have to make copies to go to these 3 sources, since this part of it all
costs me money, and 3 x 80 odd sets of blank media + postage even if spread
over a period of time is significant cost (to me anyway). To re-cap. I
will only send out 1 copy for UK and Europe for free, whoever gets it must
undertake to make at least 1 copy and forward it on to someone who will do the
same. A CD in a padded envelope (without the jewel case) is a first
class stamp to anywhere in the UK. The most this should cost for one copy to
Europe including the cost of a the purchase of a blank CD-r should be
around £1, I think the postage was about 69 pence. Not much to receive an
episode of the Onedin Line I would say.All this has to fit in with other things I have
to do so some patience will be needed, I suggest rationing the episode you
watch to 1 per week for the time being! So does anyone want to take part?Bill
(This does not
apply to some people who for one reason or another have made special
arrangements with me e.g.they have no CD burner).—– Original
